Who Is Celio Da Costa

Celio Da Costa is the founder of SAT Prep Mastery, a platform designed to help students improve their SAT scores using structured, data-driven strategies.

With a background in computer programming, he approaches SAT preparation as a logical system rather than a memorization process.

Background and Experience

Before building SAT Prep Mastery, Celio worked with logical systems and problem-solving frameworks in programming. The discipline of breaking complex problems into structured, solvable components translated directly into how he thinks about SAT preparation.

He identified a major inefficiency in traditional SAT prep: too much time spent on easy questions and not enough focus on high-difficulty problem solving. Students were building comfort with material they already understood rather than developing the skills needed to score higher.

This led to the creation of a system designed to focus on the hardest and most impactful parts of the SAT — the questions that separate average scores from competitive ones.

Why I Built SAT Prep Mastery

Before building SAT Prep Mastery, I spent years working in computer programming, solving complex logic problems and optimizing systems for efficiency.

During that time, I noticed a pattern among students preparing for the SAT. Many were putting in hours of practice, but their results did not match the effort. They felt confident after practicing easier questions, only to be surprised by a much more difficult exam on test day, especially in the adaptive sections.

From a programming perspective, the issue was clear: the training system was inefficient.

Most SAT prep platforms focus heavily on easy and medium questions. This creates a false sense of progress but does not prepare students for the highest-difficulty problems that determine top scores.

When I analyzed the structure of the Digital SAT, it became clear that performance on higher-difficulty questions has a major impact on final scores. That insight led to a different approach.

SAT Prep Mastery was built to focus on the most challenging parts of the exam first, using harder-than-normal questions to expose logic gaps, build real problem-solving ability, and prepare students for the most difficult scenarios on test day.

The goal is not just practice. The goal is efficient improvement.

The SAT Prep Mastery Approach

Most students prepare for the SAT by trying to get more questions right.

SAT Prep Mastery takes a different approach. Instead of maximizing volume, the system focuses on maximizing difficulty and learning efficiency. By training with higher-level questions, students develop the reasoning skills needed to handle any variation of the SAT.

Train above the test, so the test feels easier.

This method helps students:

Identify hidden weaknesses that standard practice never reveals

Improve accuracy under pressure by building real reasoning depth

Increase their score ceiling by mastering the hardest question types
