SAT Prep Mastery ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of every user of our platform. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and store it, and what rights you have over your information. By using SAT Prep Mastery, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide and improve the platform. This includes:

Account data

• Name — provided during account registration
• Email address — used for login, account communication, and support
• Password — stored in encrypted form; we never store plain-text passwords
• Account creation date and last login time

Usage data

• Practice session data — questions answered, time spent, accuracy by domain
• Test attempt data — full-length test responses, scores, and completion timestamps
• Feature usage — which platform features a user accesses and how frequently
• Performance trends — score trajectories and domain-level improvement over time

Essay data

Essay drafts, brainstorm responses, and version history are stored securely in your account. This data is associated with your user ID and is not shared with any third party. See Section 4 for more detail on how essay data is handled.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

• Provide access to the platform and all features included in your subscription
• Personalize your practice experience through adaptive question selection
• Generate performance analytics and score tracking dashboards
• Deliver AI-generated explanations and essay feedback
• Send transactional emails (account confirmations, password resets, billing receipts)
• Respond to support requests submitted through the contact form or via email
• Improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns

3. Payment Processing

Subscription payments are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. When you enter payment information, it is transmitted directly to Stripe's secure servers. SAT Prep Mastery does not receive, store, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or billing address.

Stripe maintains its own privacy and security practices, which you can review at Stripe's website. We receive only a tokenized confirmation of successful payment and basic subscription status information.

4. How Essay Drafts Are Stored

All essay content — including brainstorm responses, draft text, revision history, and AI-generated feedback — is stored in your individual account and protected by row-level security. Your essay data is:

• Accessible only to you and the platform systems that power your feedback
• Never shared with other users, third-party companies, or advertising networks
• Never used to train AI models without your explicit consent
• Retained in your account as long as your account is active

If you delete your account, all essay data associated with your account will be permanently deleted within 30 days of the account closure request.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Data

SAT Prep Mastery does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing or commercial purposes. We do not share your data with advertisers.

We may share aggregated, anonymized usage statistics (for example, "X% of users improved their math score by Y points") for marketing or educational content purposes. These statistics cannot be used to identify individual users.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
• Stripe — payment processing
• OpenAI — AI-generated explanations and essay feedback (content submitted for feedback may be processed by OpenAI in accordance with their data policies)

7. Cookies

SAT Prep Mastery uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your login session and improve platform performance. We use:

• Session cookies — to keep you logged in during a browsing session
• Authentication tokens — to verify your identity on subsequent visits
• Performance cookies — to understand which features are used most frequently

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You can clear cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may require you to log in again.

8. Your Data Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights:

• To access your account data — log in and visit Account Settings
• To update your name or email — edit your profile in Account Settings
• To delete your account and all associated data — contact us at the email below
• To request a copy of your data — email us with the subject line "Data Request"

For data requests, contact us at support@satmastery.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

SAT Prep Mastery is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 13. If you believe a minor under 13 has created an account, please contact us immediately and we will delete the account and all associated data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
